For years, pediatricians have warned parents against using “talc” found in baby powders and other fragranced products used in the consumer healthcare industry due to its toxicity in the lungs or even to forms of cancer. Companies are negligent that market baby powders consisting of talc.  How would a consumer know not to buy a baby powder containing talc or one without containing cornstarch? That was a multi-million dollar slap in the face (including punitive damages levied) a monetary judgement against manufacturer Johnson & Johnson by a plaintiff in an ovarian cancer case.
